A Business Operations Support at HR Revolution assists in the development, design and improvement of the operational systems and processes that help create, shape and deliver HR Revolutions corporate strategy. The key responsibilities include implementing agreed marketing and sales strategies and providing support to the financial side of the business.

What does a typical day at HR Revolution look like for you?

My day starts with checking my personal emails, the HRREV inboxes and all our social media accounts. Working in the business operations side of the business truly covers everything from sales and marketing to finance and tech support! No day is the same, but it could range from new business administration and developing marketing campaigns to sending out quotes and invoices! I am really organised so love working on multiple projects and the feeling of updating my list at the end of the day ready for the next!

What makes HR Revolution different?

What stands out for me what makes HR Revolution different is the passion for people, our team and our clients. HRREV provide a huge amount of learning, teaching and mentoring, whether it’s to help progress to the next part in your career or develop your understanding of a subject, they really go above and beyond to make sure we are always learning and growing.  They truly invest in the team and provide opportunity for progression. HR Revolution provide positive HR and always put people first.

What is the best part of your role?

The best part of my role is the opportunity to develop and get involved in a variety of projects. No day is the same and I have learnt so much about HR; an industry that I wasn’t familiar with. I also enjoy supporting the team and senior management in providing the best positive people HR for our clients.

Why did you choose a career in HR?

I haven’t come from an HR background, but I love being a part of the operations side of the business and using my skills to support the HR team and our clients. I think whatever role that you choose in HR you must be a people person and like working with people!

What advice would you give to anyone looking to start their career in HR?

Look for apprenticeships and entry level roles where you can learn on the job and develop strong administrative skills that you can build upon when progressing to the next level. Be honest and open about what you want in your career so that you can proactively build your skill set!

Do you have any tips or advice to share that you have learnt as a Business Operations Support?

A phrase that has obviously been said before, but I think it goes a long way, treat other people how you would like to be treated. Offer to help and don’t be afraid to ask questions!
