A Senior HR Administrator at HR Revolution is accountable for providing a broad range of efficient and accurate HR related administration to a diverse client group. The role is pivotal in supporting the HR Delivery team and ensuring the smooth daily running of client related administration. In this role they manage a range of tasks from overseeing client employee files to drafting and tailoring contracts and handbooks!

What does a typical day at HR Revolution look like for you?

I would say that there is no “typical” day when it comes to the world of consultancy – drafting offer letters, contracts and onboarding documents is part and parcel of being an HR Administrator, but no two days are the same at HR Revolution. Our clients are so varied and diverse that it is an amazing environment to gain a plethora of skills and knowledge.

What makes HR Revolution different?

HR Revolution is such a positive and energetic place to work. It really is completely people focused both internally and when it comes to our clients which is such a refreshing change and makes the job so much easier. Our MD, Wendy, is incredible and really pushes us to achieve our full potential and supports us every step of the way.

What is the best part of your role?

The variety is definitely the best part. I have already had so much exposure to a wide range of different issues and processes during my time with HRREV. It has given me the opportunity to put the knowledge I gained through my level 5 CIPD into practice and thoroughly embed it.

Why did you choose a career in HR?

HR is such a broad profession and one that is constantly evolving in line with changes in employment law. This means there is always an opportunity to grow and learn which is something that very much appealed to me. I am also very much a ‘people-person’, so HR seemed like a great fit for me.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to start their career in HR?

Networking is an amazing tool – there are so many HR professionals that have years and years of knowledge and experience they can share. The vast majority are more than happy to help and some even offer mentoring sessions – it never hurts to ask.

Do you have any tips or advice to share that you have learnt as a Senior HR Administrator?

Having the right documentation in place makes all the difference. Ensuring all your processes and templates are accurate and updated in line with changes in legislation makes it easy to follow and admin so much easier to complete. Also, making sure you manage your time effectively is vital, especially with how fast paced consultancy can be.
