What is the best part of your role?
The variety is definitely the best part. I have already had so much exposure to a wide range of different issues and processes during my time with HRREV. It has given me the opportunity to put the knowledge I gained through my level 5 CIPD into practice and thoroughly embed it.
Why did you choose a career in HR?
HR is such a broad profession and one that is constantly evolving in line with changes in employment law. This means there is always an opportunity to grow and learn which is something that very much appealed to me. I am also very much a ‘people-person’, so HR seemed like a great fit for me.
What advice would you give to anyone looking to start their career in HR?
Networking is an amazing tool – there are so many HR professionals that have years and years of knowledge and experience they can share. The vast majority are more than happy to help and some even offer mentoring sessions – it never hurts to ask.
